Combined Scalp Micropigmentation with Hair Transplant
SMP/FUE combination is our magic portion! With this special procedure, we offer our clients nearly unlimited density and texture provided only by natural hairs. Now, you know why we are taking over, it's purely magical!
Why Use Combined Procedures?
Stand-alone scalp micropigmentation does provide the real hair feel and texture. Most poor transplant candidates with minimal donor supply patients prefer real hair. And our magic portion provides the answer!
For those missing a lot of hair, hair transplant is great for adding texture and 'feel' to scalp micropigmentation when hair is completely shaved. So when combined with SMP's provision of heavy density, you get a perfect simulation of real, natural hair.
However, for those who still have a significant amount of hair left, stand-alone SMP can be incorporated to serve as a filler and make for a longer hair length. This is perfect for clients who had undergone a transplant but could not get the desired hair density.
Do We Recommend This Approach?
Absolutely! It gives a perfect simulation of your original hair. And most often than not, clients can't tell the difference. When you combine the strong points of the transplant option (texture & feel) with that of our top notch scalp micropigmentation (heavy density impression), the outcome is nothing short of excellent.
The hair transplant procedure can either be completed first or carried out retrospectively depending on the case.
NOTE: For the best results, you should overlook the FUT (strip) method, which may be the least expensive transplant methods offered by surgeons.
At Hairlines International, we highly recommend the use of FUE (follicular unit extraction) approach for all our clients. When combined with SMP, it produces the best outcome with significantly less scarring.
Women with pattern baldness and alopecia can now create the illusion of thicker, denser hair. Approximately 25% of our clients are women suffering from some sort of hair loss, either thinning of the hair or alopecia. There are many reasons why women may experience hair loss stemming from genetic predispositions, alopecia, stress and even menopause. Up to approximately 70% of women's hair is shed in large amounts. It is often precipitated by a response to a traumatic event, either physical or emotional.
Alopecia is an autoimmune disorder where the immune system attacks hair follicles. The second most common form of hair loss dermatologists see is a condition called Telogen Effluvium; a form of non-scarring alopecia characterized by diffuse hair shedding, often with an acute onset.
Solutions for Hair Loss
Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) is a permanent solution for women with thinning areas on the crown and top of their heads. SMP creates the illusion of a full head of hair by creating an under-layer. For women with alopecia, SMP eliminates having to handle consistent spot balding. SMP is also used in camouflaging scars with the blending of surgical scars and temples of the face.
Scalp Micropigmentation stimulates hair growth. With repeated insertions of the needle into the dermal layer of the skin is known to stimulate, or bring back, the hair follicles. Every treatment is tailored specifically to each person's needs. Although SMP was originally designed for men, women are now taking advantage of its benefits and are being treated by the hundreds. If you are seeking for a permanent solution to hair loss or thinning, Scalp Micropigmentation may be exactly what you are looking for.
How does Micropigmentation Work?
When implanting our organic inks, the hair color is matched perfectly. We then choose a shade darker to create the illusion of a shadow. By doing this, clients receive the look of a full head of hair. During the procedure the needle strokes are done softly, breaking up the frontal hairline to create a more natural look. More dense strokes are added to the sides and the top of the thinning hair. This provides the maximum illusion of density because it reduces the contrast in the shades of color between the scalp and the hair. Each individual client's pain threshold is different. The procedure is quite painless, however there are certain areas of the head that are more sensitive; i.e. temple area for example. For this we offer numbing cream, although most clients do not need it. Most clients experience only a small amount of discomfort and may experience a mild sensitivity throughout the procedure.
A typical procedure requires two to three sessions to acquire the desired results. Each session is performed within one week of each other. Clients usually recover within hours after each session.
Serving as a hair loss solution is the first and foremost use of scalp micropigmentation. However, a very common secondary use for the procedure is the concealment or camouflage of hair transplant scars. Ranging from FUT or FUE hair transplant scars to alopecia or accident scarring, we provide an impeccable scars-camouflaging service - making them nearly impossible to detect.
How We Help
Our profound scalp micropigmentation procedure technique and expertise provides the solution. It has been applied to a numerous number of men with great success. Most of our clients use the SMP to create density and/or repair a receding hairline. However, over 30% utilize the procedure to conceal scars. The two most popular scars originate from hair transplant surgery - FUT (spin) scar and FUE (follicular unit extraction).
FUT, FUE or Plug Scars?
There is not a one-size-fits-all approach to hiding scars. Each and every client's scar is unique and largely varies depending on cellular makeup of the tissue, including shape, color, size, indentations, protrusion etc. Consequently, there is a need for a highly skilled professional who would develop a surefire client-specific approach to ensure the best result is produced. FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) or plug scars are caused by hair transplant. This happens when hair follicle unit is lost at irregular intervals, thereby resulting in multiple tiny dots at the donor area. Plug scars are usually easy to camouflage during scalp micropigmentation. This is due to their small but abundant nature, making the hair blending process a breeze. However, FUT (Follicular Unit Transplant) scars are more difficult to conceal as they appear to be more linear and highly detectable. FUT scars are the most common of them all and our specialists have worked on a great number of these scars with excellent outcome.
Many have suffered a great deal from the negative effects of hair loss. Their relentless search for a solution had rendered them high and dry. The hair transplant solution many opt for has left them not only with scars, but also a lighter bank account and possibly an impaired confidence. We are well versed in the art of scalp micropigmentation and possess the necessary top quality equipment, knowledge and skill to make all scars undetectable. Schedule an appointment today and experience a scars camouflage service like no other!
Scalp Micropigmentation is the only guaranteed and reliable solution for all types of alopecia - be it universlies (total body hair loss), areata (round patches/bald spots) or totalis alopecia (complete baldness).
What is Alopecia?
Alopecia is simply a non-contagious autoimmune disease that causes hair loss in all individuals, irrespective of the age or gender. It shows no signs or symptoms, it has no cure and the triggering factor is unknown. However, in few occasions, it has been linked to abuse of medication or a bacterial infection.
As an autoimmune disorder, alopecia triggers the body to attack healthyhair follicles which often leads to hair loss. However, it is important to note that chronic stress and terrible dietary habits can also cause hair breakage and excessive hair shedding.
One (1) out of every one thousand (1000) people are affected by alopecia at some point in their lifetime. And one (1) in five (5) reported cases were linked directly to genetics.
Scalp Micropigmentation vs. Alopecia
SMP wins! Scalp Micropigment Procedure (SMP) is everyone's best bet to camouflage this terrible disorder. Whether it is only round patches, complete baldness or total body hair loss, SMP takes care of alopecia camouflaging. This, however, is only guaranteed when the procedure is carried out by a seasoned expert.
At North Carolina International Hairlines, our advanced SMP techniques are sure to help you get over all types of the incurable disorder. We diagnose the problem, discuss the treatment options, identify the perfect technique to fit your unique needs and ensure you leave with a smile on your face and absolute confidence.
Procedure Scalp micropigmentation offers a wide array of benefits when compared to hair transplant and other hair loss treatment options. However the outcome of scalp micropigmentation, just like any procedure, depends wholly on the technician in charge of the procedure. And due to the tremendous acceptance of SMP worldwide, there is a large number of practitioners out there offering poor MPS service in attempts to enter the booming market. Consequently, leaving their patients with an even worse problem when the procedure eventually goes bad.
Why Do Procedures Go Bad?
There is a wide range of errors that could occur during SMP, however, only three (3) are highly rampant. They include the application of;
incorrect pigmentation depth
incorrect type of needle required
When any of these unforgiving errors is made by an inexperienced practitioner, what should have been a perfect camouflage for hair loss turns out to be disastrous and an eyesore. We find it quite disheartening whenever a client walks into our office with huge dots on the head or even a totally blue head. This explains why scalp micropigmentation is a very sensitive and delicate procedure which yields the best results only when performed by highly skilled professionals. At North Carolina International Hairlines, we do our very best to repair and correct the negative effects caused due to bad scalp micropigmentation procedures.
Solution If you notice some irregularities and feel your treatment isn't up to scratch, your best bet is to stop your provider from adding any extra pigments with immediate effect and alacrity. Once done, do not hesitate to contact North Carolina International Hairlines to correct the terrible scalp micropigmentation procedure!
Microblading is a manual technique of implanting pigment into the skin. Also known as microstroking, microblading is an advanced brow embroidery technique whereby a superfine row of needles is used to create thin, hair like marks on the skin. Instead of a machine, we use a hand tool with very small needles for full artistic control that mimic the appearance of fine hairs to create an eyebrow. This is unlike permanent eyebrow tattoos which tend to look unnatural, microblading tends to look extremely natural, to the point where you can hardly even tell that it's there. These ultra-fine, hair-like strokes are semi-permanent, and can last anywhere from 1 to 3 years with regular touchups to extend its life or make any adjustments. Microblading is ideal for individuals who want to toss their eyebrow pencils and fully reconstruct define, cover gaps, or fill-in over plucked brows.
Microblading can also be used for more extreme cases such as patients with hair loss, whether it be due to Alopecia, hormonal imbalance or cancer treatments. This technique requires virtually no down time, so beautiful eyebrows are revealed immediately. The treatment begins with developing the desired shape, then using individual tattoo strokes or 'feathers' in the area to plot the shape and style requested. The color choice is patient specific and is mixed using a natural selection of semi-permanent micropigments to complement hair color and skin tone. Varying shades of hypoallergenic micropigments react differently with each skin type and fade accordingly, depending on skin regimen, sun exposure, environmental and after care precautions. Immediately post treatment, eyebrows will appear darker than expected, but will fade 50% during the healing process over the following 2 weeks. The 2nd application 6 weeks later includes a touch up to ensure micro-pigments are healing properly and responding well.
Microblading is available in select locations only. Our artists have been independently trained and are very experienced in this amazing craft.
Tattoo Removal and SMP Removal follow a similar procedure. The procedure was created to remove all tattoos or all types and ages and for all ink colors, including blue & green inks. Compare Xtract Tattoo Removal to Laser removal to see the full list of benefits.
Preparation It is very important to start by getting organized and to use the right materials. The skin needs to be washed clean, dried and prepared before the removal If there is scarring the preparation may take a little longer.
Serum Activation We then use a proprietary serum blend to saturate and cover the tattoo. The serum will stimulate the lightening of the ink, the removal of the foreign bodies and loosen scar tissue.
Withdrawal Mask The Withdrawal Mask is added to attract the heavy metals and toxic substances to the surface of the skin. This mask also acts to boost healing with 74 nutrients and mineral content to allow oxygen to purify the treated area.
Repair Serum We then add our second proprietary serum, the DNA Repair serum, to ensure the best result in lightening the ink and removing it while preventing scarring and infection at the same time.
The SMP industry is a relatively new market and there are many unskilled artists out there without proper training. True SMP artists are trained extensively and need to take the time needed to do a professional job. Half-Off deals will only lead to Half-Results and ultimately twice the cost when it comes to fixing, repairing or removing a Bad SMP job. If you have had a bad SMP job done and your head has large dots from the wrong tool being used or have blue or purple micropigmentation from the wrong pigments and/or incorrect needle depth we can help with this removal process, and repair the SMP to make it appear natural.
