We are Syracuse's premier providers of scalp micropigmentation and eyebrow microblading services. The name "International Hairlines" stems from our ability to accurately reproduce any type of hairline in a natural and undetectable manner. Whether it is a hard, sharp hairline, popular in the United States, or a softer, gradually receded hairline (more popular in Europe), widow's peaks and every shape in between, we have practiced and perfected it all - hairlines from all around the world. Since the hairline is literally in the forefront of scalp micropigmentation, we believe that if it lacks a natural appearance, the results will not look on par with our standards, so that is why we take great pride in our hairlines.
Our award winning staff are experts in the aesthetics world of Scalp Micro-Pigmentation (SMP). Jerod Schoonmaker has been involved in SMP since 2015 however has been in the medical field since 1993. Serving in the U.S. Air Force in various positions as a Flight medic, trainer, and ER medic to name a few. Jerod decided to get involved in this amazing industry after he got his own procedure done.
He currently has studios in Syracuse NY, and affiliation in Albany NY. He is also co-owner of North Carolina International Hairlines as well as co-owner of International Hairlines SMP. He is a trainer and mentor to new affiliates who wish to join our growing business.
Jerod is a firm believer in the military model of "see one, do one, teach one". He has learned early on although many people learn differently, everyone benefits from "hands-on training". Learning the fundamentals to this industry is key however nothing can replace hands-on training. Jerod also believes that having access to your trainers before, during, and after training is paramount in giving the new artist the confidence to know that they are not alone.
Some will refer to it as a Hair Tattoo or Medical Hairline Tattooing or Hair Simulation or Follicle Replication. In the end, it's simply the art of creating the illusion of real hair follicles. Most practitioners have been trained to use one type of needle when performing scalp micropigmentation. Not our artists! We are trained to use different types of needles (single micro and three-point) in order to achieve optimal results. Aside from the hairline, our artists also pay very close attention to key factors such as blending, matching, feathering, density-building, texturing, scar concealment, etc., in order to produce undetectable natural results. It is simply the most realistic, non-invasive, cost-efficient hair loss treatment out there. If done correctly it is seamless, undetectable and, in many cases, unbelievable!
